Documentary Photography Topic
The topic I choose is the struggles of ranching life and how people rarely see past the animals and equipment. I want people to think of what’s going on and how ranches have changed. For conversations I want people to talk about the past and animals. Emotions I want people to feel curious about learning more about ranches. Most of my pictures will be outdoors, then some pictures will have people, Black and white pictures, pictures wont be staged, There won’t be any props, a lot of movement not really any still life, it will not be in chronological order to tell a story, and common theme is ranching life.

That was the day the world changed. The sun had disappeared with the moon constantly being out the sea had rose. It was very hard to survive at first, but as time continued people had found out how to live and go on there day to day lives. The day the sun had disappeared many people don’t do anything thinking the sun was being blocked. Some people were freaking out and they were stocking up on essentials. As the days continued and the sun wouldn’t show up more and more people started to freak out. Then reports on the news started to come in with people talking about the sun. There was one report that interested everyone. The sea was rising at a rapid pace. That’s when people started running to stores and stocking up. Soon stores became bare after a couple of days. The sea had swallowed up half of the world, the highest elevations points weren’t covered up by the sea. Those were the areas many people fled to. This really devastated the world. For families that had dying or sick children or really anyone that were in hospitals. They didn’t make it. As people were evacuated to safer places, some people stayed accepting their fate. After a while people started to die due to complications with their health and they couldn’t get medication for it or they couldn’t live like that anymore. Its been five years since the disaster happened and many people have learned to live with what they have and to cherish the people and the memories they have left. Now that there is no pollution in the world, the night sky is very visible. You can see meteor shows easily and the stars. If the sun every comes back and the water goes back down to regular sea level it would be very hard to get back to a normal life. People would have to rebuild everything and the government would have a field day with lots of work piled up on them.
